White-Label Gift Card Platform

Launch a branded digital gift card marketplace without building the customer-facing platform, supplier connections or fulfilment journeys yourself. Spendstream configures the experience around your brand and manages it after launch.

01

What white-label means for your customers

Customers see your logo, colours, domain and programme language throughout the service. They are not being sent into an unrelated consumer marketplace. The experience is configured to feel like an extension of your main product while Spendstream operates the technology behind it.

Access can begin from a direct sign-in journey or through optional single sign-on. The right route depends on how your organisation identifies eligible customers and how closely the rewards service needs to connect to the main account experience.

02

A gift-card-specific proposition

This page focuses on businesses that want digital gift cards at the centre of the customer proposition. Customers browse available brands, choose a value, complete the agreed purchase journey and receive the digital voucher through the platform.

Spendstream’s broader white-label rewards platform can also include cashback and affiliate offers. Keeping the gift-card page separate helps buyers who specifically need a branded voucher marketplace understand the relevant journey without confusing it with every possible reward type.

03

What is already built

The platform includes merchant listings, product selection, payment or balance flows, fulfilment messaging, voucher access and transaction history. It also includes the responsive behaviour and edge-case handling needed for customers using different devices.

That avoids a project in which a business builds the visible screens but later discovers it also needs account logic, order statuses, support journeys, reporting and continuous catalogue maintenance.

04

What changes after launch

Gift card catalogues are not static. Products can be added, paused or amended, and rates may change. Spendstream manages those updates and continues to improve the shared platform so clients are not rebuilding the experience whenever the service evolves.

Your organisation retains control of its own brand, customer communications and programme decisions. Creative and copy changes can follow the approval process agreed during onboarding.

05

Commercial and funding choices

A programme may offer gift cards at a customer discount, attach another form of reward to the purchase or use the transaction as part of a broader loyalty mechanic. The agreed funding model can use float or a payment gateway, depending on the client setup.

Merchant commission is applied according to the programme economics. Where a customer discount is funded from commission, that customer value is applied before the remaining Net Commission is shared under the client agreement.

06

When white-label is better than API

White-label is usually the better starting point when the business wants to launch quickly, has limited development capacity or prefers Spendstream to own the customer-facing experience. An API is better when rewards must be deeply embedded and the client is prepared to build and maintain the front end.

Use the API versus white-label comparison to make that decision, or review current platform plans.

Questions businesses ask

Do customers see Spendstream branding?

The platform is configured around the client’s brand, domain and programme messaging. Appropriate legal and operational disclosures still remain where required.

Do we need developers to launch?

A standard white-label launch is designed to require little or no client-side development. SSO or bespoke connections may require technical work.

Can we choose which gift card brands appear?

The available catalogue can be configured around the agreed programme and eligible products.

Who manages product and rate changes?

Spendstream manages the core catalogue and platform updates.

Can we move to API later?

Yes. A business can use white-label to launch and validate demand before investing in a deeper API-led experience.
